Evening Lectures, February-March 2016
My teaching schedule has been affected by sabbatical. I'm teaching a studio course this spring to seniors, instead of the academic course I would typically lead. As a result, I have a group of seniors who never got any history of popular images.
This troubles me. Thus I am doing a series of 4 evening lectures this spring to give them an introduction. For those in the St. Louis area: the lectures are open to the public. They are all in Kemp Auditorium in Givens Hall at 7:30 pm. Givens is the Beaux-Arts architecture building on the east end of campus, part of the Sam Fox School complex.
Above please find a poster advertising the series and providing the titles and dates.
The first talk is tomorrow night, on periodicals and the advent of illustration as a profession. Thanks to my regular collaborator, designer Scott Gericke, whose excellent touch vastly improved my otherwise homely poster!
